Technology can be made so secure it is unusable, the most usable platforms may very well be insecure. So how can we strike a realistic balance to ensure that we have confidence in the hardware and software of voting machinery without making it so difficult to use that significant portions of society are excluded as a result?  How much can greater usability support the voting process?  How can data help us understand more about the voter experiences?
