Newman, President & Co-Founder of MapLight, will demonstrate and discuss some of MapLight’s tools for bringing greater transparency to the connections between money and politics. This case study will highlight MapLight’s software for the California Secretary of State and its Voter’s Edge tool, an online voting guide created in partnership with the League of Women Voters of California. Learn how MapLight’s software combines nonpartisan data on campaign contributions and votes to show patterns of influence and how Voter’s Edge helped over two million voters make more informed choices in November 2016.To enable screen reader support, press shortcut ⌘+Option+Z.
