Verifiable Election Technologies

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Verifiable election technologies allow voters to check for themselves that their votes have been properly recorded and that all recorded votes have been properly counted. There is a wide variety of these so-called end-to-end (E2E) verifiable election systems which can be applied to many different voting scenarios – paper or electronic, poll site or remote, and even Internet voting (which a study by the U.S. Vote Foundation concluded should never be done without this technology).

This panel will offer some essential background and discuss several E2E-verifiable election systems that have been or are being built and deployed – along with their future prospects.
