Dean Logan and Matt Adams will discuss the efforts by Los Angeles county, the country's largest, to as it progresses towards the final design of the Ballot Marking Device (BMD) and continues to define the tally system and other voting system components. The final design is a product of a design evolution, born as a result of extensive qualitative research to identify voters’ preferences and address the needs of a large and complex electorate.
