Twitter's importance in disseminating breaking news, ideas, and information is indisputable. But what else does Twitter see as its role in the civic space? To promote civic participation, Twitter engaged in the 2016 election through account focused activations, support for events, and live streaming. They also created tools to help people register to vote, find their polling location, and even learn what’s on their ballot. In this session Twitter Public Policy Manager, Tom Tarantino, reports on how they did.
